Port City head coach Christopher Ennin believes his side’s Ghana Premier League Matchweek 9 meeting with Vision FC could be one of the most entertaining games of the season when the teams meet on Saturday.
The Eewo Boys will welcome the Kukurantumi-based club to the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema, with both teams targeting victory as they seek to strengthen their positions in the league table.
Ennin, appointed at the beginning of the 2026/27 season, expects an open and technically appealing contest because both sides favour possession-based football.
The Port City manager praised Vision FC’s quality but urged his players to remain focused and avoid taking their opponents lightly. He also said his team had been working on its tactical approach, particularly the transition from defence into attack.
“Vision FC are not a bad side, and I always respect every club competing in the Premier League. The moment you underestimate an opponent, they can take you by surprise. We have been working on our transition from defence to attack, as well as different tactical strategies, to ensure we go there and get points,” he said.
Ennin said the match would be decided by which team produces the stronger performance on the day, despite his expectation of a high-quality encounter.
“We are going to witness one of the best games in the league. Vision FC like to play the ball, just as we do, so it promises to be an interesting encounter. However, at the end of the day, the better side will emerge victorious and take all three points,” he added.
Port City have made a positive start to their first campaign in the Ghana Premier League after securing promotion to the top flight for the first time.
The newly promoted side have taken 14 points from their opening eight matches of the 2026/27 campaign. Their record stands at four wins, two draws and two defeats, leaving them fourth in the league table.
Vision FC will attempt to claim all three points away from home, while Port City will be looking to continue their encouraging beginning to life in the top division.
