Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick for Al Nassr against Al Kholood on Thursday, ending a 908-day wait for three goals in a single match in the Roshn Saudi League.
The Portugal captain sparked an eventful encounter in the 12th round after having two goals ruled out for offside during the first half. Both decisions were made by referee Khalid Al-Turais, leaving Ronaldo visibly frustrated and prompting strong protests from the Al Nassr forward.
He responded after the interval by turning his chances into goals that counted.
Ronaldo opened his account in the 66th minute after receiving a precise pass from fellow Portugal international Joao Felix. He controlled the opportunity and found the net to put Al Nassr ahead before adding a second goal six minutes later.
The 40-year-old scored again in the 72nd minute with a header, continuing to threaten the Al Kholood defence and confirming his influence on the match.
His third goal arrived in the 81st minute. Ronaldo collected an accurate delivery from Senegal forward Sadio Mane and finished from close range to complete the hat-trick.
The three-goal performance transformed a frustrating first half into a memorable evening for the Al Nassr captain and brought an end to his longest wait for a hat-trick since joining the club.
Ronaldo’s previous three-goal game had come against Al Wehda on 4 May 2024 in the Roshn Saudi League. The latest treble therefore came 908 days after his last one.
According to the figures provided, Ronaldo has now scored 985 goals in his career. He is 15 goals short of reaching 1,000, a landmark he continues to approach with each appearance for Al Nassr.
