Mawuko Afadzinu represented Ghana at the 2026 ITTF-Africa Annual General Meeting (AGM), which brought together representatives of table tennis associations from across Africa in Tangier, Morocco.
Afadzinu is the African Table Tennis Federation (ITTF-Africa) Executive Vice President in charge of Marketing. He joined continental stakeholders for the meeting on Wednesday, October 21, at the Movenpick Hotel in Tangier.
The AGM was staged alongside the 2026 African Table Tennis Championships and organised by the Royal Moroccan Table Tennis Federation under the auspices of ITTF-Africa.
Delegates discussed the administration and development of table tennis across the continent, as well as the federation’s future direction. The gathering provided a forum for representatives to consider matters affecting the organisation and growth of the sport.
Reports from the federation’s administrative, financial and technical departments were included on the agenda. Delegates also received updates from ITTF-Africa’s executive bodies, committees and African zones.
Planning for future continental competitions was another main focus. Discussions included the competition calendar for 2027 and 2028, together with the process for selecting host countries for upcoming events.
Afadzinu’s attendance ensured Ghana had representation at the annual meeting of the continental governing body, where the organisation and development of African table tennis were considered.
The AGM was part of a wider programme of continental table tennis activity in Tangier during the week. The African Table Tennis Championships brought leading players from across Africa together to compete for honours.
