Mist and fog are expected to affect visibility in forested and mountainous areas of Ghana early on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, before sunshine spreads across much of the country.
The Ghana Meteorological Agency’s 18-hour impact-based forecast says the coastal, middle and northern sectors will be partly cloudy during the morning. Parts of the transition sector are expected to remain mostly cloudy.
Most areas should become sunny as the day continues. However, localised thunderstorms or rain could develop across parts of the middle, transition and northern sectors from late afternoon through to the night.
The agency’s impact-based risk table classifies the chance of rain and thunderstorms in those areas as low to medium. Residents have been advised through the forecast to remain aware of the possibility of sudden downpours.
Temperature outlook
Temperatures in the coastal sector are expected to range from a minimum of 24 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 33 degrees Celsius.
The forest sector will record temperatures between 23 degrees Celsius and 33 degrees Celsius, while the transition sector is forecast to see minimum and maximum temperatures of 22 degrees Celsius and 33 degrees Celsius respectively.
The northern sector will be the warmest, with temperatures expected to range from 24 degrees Celsius to 36 degrees Celsius.
