Mohamed Salah has become one of a select group of players to score in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League after finding the net and providing an assist in Trabzonspor’s victory over KuPS in the Conference League league phase.
The former Liverpool forward, who spent nine years at the club and established himself as one of Europe’s most prolific attackers, has now added another milestone to his career.
Planet Football reported on Saturday that Salah joins a group including Harry Kane, Cody Gakpo, Pedro, Mario Gotze, Tammy Abraham, Isco, Ollie Watkins, Edin Dzeko, Jadon Sancho and Joao Felix.
Kane and Gakpo among the leading names
Kane scored his first Europa League goal for Tottenham Hotspur during the 2011-12 season before making his mark in the Champions League in 2016-17. He also scored four times in Tottenham’s inaugural Conference League group stage, although the club did not reach the knockout rounds.
Gakpo scored in the Europa League and Conference League with PSV Eindhoven before moving to Liverpool. He then completed the set by scoring three Champions League league-phase goals during the 2024-25 campaign.
Pedro had already scored 16 Champions League goals before making his Europa League debut with Chelsea. He scored five times during Chelsea’s 2018-19 Europa League triumph, including in the final against Arsenal, and later scored in all three competitions while playing for Lazio.
Gotze, who is best known for scoring Germany’s winning goal against Argentina in the 2014 FIFA World Cup final, scored in the Champions League and Europa League before the Conference League was introduced. He completed the set with PSV Eindhoven in 2021-22, scoring in the round of 16 after the club dropped into the competition.
Abraham and Watkins complete the set
Abraham scored during Chelsea’s successful 2020-21 Champions League campaign before helping Roma win the inaugural Conference League the following season. He scored in the Europa League for Roma during 2022-23, when they finished runners-up, and later won the competition with Aston Villa in 2025-26 without scoring.
Isco scored three times for Malaga in their memorable 2012-13 Champions League campaign before joining Real Madrid, where he won the Champions League five times. He later scored in the Europa League for Real Betis and in the Conference League during 2024-25, helping the club become a competitive force in Europe.
Watkins had not played in the Premier League or European competition before joining Aston Villa in 2020. Under Unai Emery, he scored five Conference League goals in 2023-24, excluding qualifying rounds, followed by a Champions League goal in 2024-25 and five Europa League goals in 2025-26.
Dzeko, Sancho and Felix
Dzeko scored in the Champions League and Europa League before joining Manchester City and continued to find the net in Europe with several clubs. He completed the collection with Fenerbahce in the 2023-24 Conference League and scored again in the competition for Fiorentina well into his late thirties.
Sancho scored in the Champions League with Borussia Dortmund and in the Europa League with Manchester United. During his 2024-25 loan spell at Chelsea, he scored twice in the Conference League, including in the final against Real Betis, although his wider career has remained unsettled as he searches for consistency and a long-term club.
Felix scored three Europa League goals for Benfica in 2018-19 before moving to Atletico Madrid, where he scored three times in the Champions League the following campaign. He later scored four goals in five Conference League appearances for Chelsea in 2024-25, but his stay in London was brief as he continued to seek the consistency expected of him.
Salah’s achievement with Trabzonspor places him alongside Kane, Pedro, Gotze and Dzeko, with his performances in another UEFA competition set to add to an already distinguished career.
