Hearts of Oak moved level on points with Ghana Premier League leaders Medeama SC after a 1-0 victory over Vision FC in Week 7.
Kwesi Asmah scored the only goal of the match in the 75th minute, finishing from close range at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Stadium.
The result extended Hearts of Oak’s winning run to two matches and kept the Phobians in second place with 14 points, maintaining their challenge for top spot.
Vision FC were unable to respond after Asmah’s late strike and have now gone six matches without a win. The defeat leaves the ‘Ewuo Keke’ lads needing a stronger display in their next fixture, when they travel to face Dreams FC.
Hearts of Oak will next meet Basake Holy Stars as they look to continue their improved run and remain within touching distance of Medeama SC at the summit.
