Former Black Starlets head coach, Laryea Kingston, is anticipating a challenging encounter for Ghana against Sudan in the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Ghana is grouped with Sudan, Angola, and Niger in Group F with the two winners progressing to the finals of the continental event.
In an interview with 3Sports, Kingston expressed his concerns about the fixture against Sudan, citing the familiarity of Sudan’s coach, Kwesi Appiah, with the Ghanaian team.
“Kwesi Appiah is a Ghanaian and he knows how we approach games. He knows a lot of positives about Ghanaians and our mindset so I think it is going to be very difficult for us.
“Kwesi Appiah will have an advantage as he knows us more than Otto will know the Sudanese players,” Kingston added.
The qualifiers will be kick off in September this year.
