Forward Jerry Afriyie, right-back Kamadini Mamudu, and Heart of Lions captain Ebenezer Abban have been handed late call-ups to the Black Stars squad ahead of their final Group F clash against Niger in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The trio’s inclusion follows the withdrawal of four players – Jordan Ayew, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Alidu Seidu, and Gideon Mensah – who were ruled out on Saturday due to injuries.
Afriyie, who plays for Thought FC, will bolster the attacking options, while Medeama SC’s Kamadini Mamudu and Heart of Lions’ Ebenezer Abban will add depth to the defense.
Ghana is set to face Niger on November 18 at the Accra Sports Stadium, with the Black Stars continuing preparations with a training session scheduled for Sunday evening.
Despite the changes, the match holds little significance for Ghana’s qualification hopes, as the team is already eliminated from contention in the 2025 AFCON tournament.
