Black Queens midfielder Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah lauded her teammates after their 4-1 win over Tanzania, which secured Ghana’s spot in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinals.
“I’m so proud of the girls,” she said, crediting teamwork for the victory.
Boye-Hlorkah emphasized her role as a leader on the pitch, stating, “I’m vocal and try to push the team as much as I can.”
She praised her teammates for supporting her and highlighted the importance of unity, saying, “We can’t win without playing as a team.” Boye-Hlorkah expressed pride in representing Ghana and appreciation for the fans.
The Black Queens now face Algeria in the quarterfinals on July 19.
