Daniel Afriyie Barnieh And Augustine Okrah will not travel to Angola for Ghana’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Central African Republic.
Black Stars coach Otto Addo has dropped the two players from the squad for the match.
Barnieh and Bechem United’s Okrah were the only Ghana Premier League players initially named to the squad for qualifiers against Madagascar and the Central African Republic, but Barnieh’s Hearts of Oak teammate Dennis Korsah was called up late this week.
Korsah is reportedly travelling to Angola, while Barnieh and Okrah are expected to return to their respective clubs for this weekend’s league games.
Also not included in Joseph Aidoo, who picked up an injury in training ahead of the Madagascar match.
Black Stars are expected to leave Ghana on Friday night for the match, which is set to take place on Sunday afternoon.
The team hope to make it two straight wins after beating Madagascar 3-0 in their first match thanks to an impressive second-half performance.
The Black Stars will then travel to Japan to compete in a four-nation tournament.
