2023/24 Ghana Premier League Week 25: Match Report – Real Tamale United 1-0 Nations FC

In a thrilling Week 25 match of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League, Real Tamale United (RTU) managed to secure a hard-fought 1-0 victory over second-placed Nations FC on Wednesday afternoon at the Naa Sheriga Sports Center.

Before the clash, RTU found themselves in the relegation zone, languishing in 18th position with just 22 points, while Nations FC sat comfortably in second place with 43 points. The early stages of the game saw both teams battling for control, with attackers from both sides firing off-target as the first half approached its end.

Following tactical changes and lineup adjustments during halftime, Real Tamale United broke the deadlock in the 51st minute through Mohammed Iddris. This goal sparked end-to-end action in the second half, with the home supporters in a jubilant mood as their team took the lead. Despite Nations FC’s efforts to equalize, the score remained unchanged, and the referee brought the clash to an end after added time elapsed.

This victory marks a significant boost for Real Tamale United in their fight against relegation, while Nations FC will have to regroup and refocus as they continue their pursuit of the Ghana Premier League title.

Real Tamale United will clash with Bechem United in their next league game. Nations FC will stay home and welcome Bofoakwa Tano.
