2023/24 Ghana Premier League: Week 17 Match Report – Karela United and Medeama draw blank in Tamale

In a highly competitive clash on Saturday, Karela United and Medeama locked horns at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.

Karela United were unable to recover from their defeat against Samartex as they share the spoils with the Yellow and Mauve in the week 17 of the Ghana Premier League.

The Tamale-based club played out a 0-0 draw against the CAF Champions League campaigners. The game seems to be balanced resulting in a stalemate despite both teams creating scoring opportunities in the course of the game.

The host hoped for a win in a bid to finish the first half of the campaign on a high but Medeama proved to be a tough opposition and had to settle for a draw.

Karela United, who have been in dismal form in the ongoing campaign were desperate to secure victory to end the first half of the season well but it couldn’t materialize.

The draw sends Karela United out of the relegation drop. They currently sit 15th position with 16 points whiles Medeama moves to the 9th spot with 20 points after 17 games.
