Ghana’s Kobbie Mainoo nears return to Man Utd after recovering from injury

Manchester United’s English-born Ghanaian youngster, Kobbie Mainoo is close to featuring for the club after recovering from injury.

The midfielder has been on the sideline since July, after sustaining an ankle injury against Real Madrid in pre-season.

Mainoo has began training and expected to be in fit in the next few days.

“He is close,” Manchester Utd manager Erik ten Hag told the media.

“He is already training with us. Not today but I think, next week, he will have some minutes in the team. So then he can catch up his game minutes. So he is really improving and ready to get back in the squad for games.”
