✍️ Gilmour extends Chelsea contract

Billy Gilmour has extended his Chelsea contract for a further two years, the club has confirmed.

The youngster spent last season away at Norwich City on loan, and will now stay at the London club until at least 2024.

Gilmour, who joined Chelsea in the summer of 2017 from Rangers, has 22 Chelsea appearances to his name and turned 21 on Saturday.

He made his Blues debut in a home game against Sheffield United in August 2019, not long after his 18th birthday, and then signed a new four-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

He quickly became a fan-favourite, winning successive man-of-the-match awards – against Liverpool and Everton respectively.

He spent the 2021/22 campaign gaining further top-level experience with Norwich, playing 28 times for them in all competitions and accruing over 2000 minutes of football.
