Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito says he is relieved to finally have a full week of training with his squad ahead of Sunday’s clash with Hohoe United.
After a demanding schedule, Zito believes the extra days have allowed the team to recover, refine their work, and prepare more deliberately for the important away fixture.
“I’m very happy. I’m very happy when you look at the training w; e are trying to massage it. We are going to manage it so that I’m also happy they’ve rested. But my problem is I have designed my training program for them to rest,” he told Asante Kotoko TV.
Kotoko approach the match with mixed form three draws, one win, and one defeat in their last five games and Zito is hoping this week’s structured preparation will translate into a stronger performance in Hohoe.
The Porcupine Warriors sit 5th on the table with 21 points after 12 matches and will be aiming to turn their improved training rhythm into three points on Sunday.
