Asante Kotoko Coach Seydou Zerbo cut a frustrated figure following their 1-1 draw with Hearts of Oak in the betPawa Premier League on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors were the better side for large spells of the game but simply could not take most of the chances that came their way.
Yusif Mubarik opened the scoring at the Baba Yara Stadium in the 57th minute, before defender Caleb Amankwah struck late to ensure the spoils were shared.
Speaking to reporters after the match, Zerbo said he was happy with the performance but lamented his team’s wastefulness in front of goal.
“Yes, last week, we all saw the performance of the players, in fact, it was very disappointing but today, they showed that indeed they are here for action.
“We still need to work on our finishing, you saw that we had a lot of chances but unfortunately, we couldn’t use them but we will go back and work in order to utilize our chances in subsequent games,” he said.
Kotoko’s next game is at home against Nsoatreman on Wednesday.
