The Zambia FA has denied reports that coach Herve Renard has threatened to quit over unpaid salaries.
The Frenchman was quoted in L’Equipe newspaper just days before their crunch 2014 World Cup qualifier against Ghana that he was ready to walk out on the Chipolopolo after revealing he is owed salaries running to six months.
The revelation appears to have disrupted Zambia’s preparations towards Saturday’s must win game in Ndola.
The situation is further aggravated with the news fuelling reports Renard is being courted by South Africa to replace sacked Pitso Mosimane as head coach.
But Zambia’s FA President Kalusha Bwalya has slammed these reports calling them pure fabrications making assurance the Frenchman will see out his contract which ends in 2014.
