Zakaria Fuseini joins Asante Kotoko on three-year deal

Experienced Berekum Chelsea captain Zakaria Fuseini has completed a move to Asante Kotoko, signing a three-year deal ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

The 27-year-old centre-back, known for his consistency and leadership, featured in 31 matches last season, scoring three goals and providing one assist.

Sources say Fuseini has finalized all paperwork and will be officially unveiled soon. His move was strongly backed by coach Karim Zito, who is expected to be confirmed as Kotoko’s permanent head coach.

Fuseini is seen as a key figure in Kotoko’s rebuilding project and will reunite with former Berekum Chelsea teammates Lord Amoah, Patrick Asiedu, and Henry Ansu.

His experience is expected to bring much-needed stability to the Porcupine Warriors as they look to bounce back next season.
