Zak Ansah’s dad blasts ‘unorganized’ Ghana FA over U-20 call up

Zak Ansah’s dad blasts ‘unorganized’ Ghana FA over U-20 call up

Andy Ansah, father of Zak Ansah says the Ghana FA lacks organization following the poor procedure in invitation his son to report to the Ghana U-20 camp.

The 18-year-old who plays for Arsenal’s youth side was part of 19 foreign-based players called up for a three-day justify-your-inclusion exercise of the Black Satellites.

The exercise is to afford the technical team a rare opportunity to work closely with the players who are predominantly based in Europe for possible selection to join the local stars for the African Youth Championships qualifier against Uganda.

It has however emerged that some players in particular, the Hale End Academy graduate was not officially notified of the invitation and this least amuses the head of the Ansah family.

“The first I heard about it (the call up) was when I received a tweet from a friend while on holiday with my family,” he told Kumasi-based Kessben FM.

“Officially I have not received any kind of notification from the GFA and to be honest with you I don’t know whether is poor organization or lack of it from the GFA.

“It is quite disappointing because it highlights the massive flaws of such an FA because I know things like these are done through official lines and not just through publications.

“If Arsenal received a letter to that effect, they are obliged to inform us but they have since not making it clear such notification has not arrived.”

Ansah went ahead to declare that his son holds the ultimate decision as whether he wants to play for Ghana or not but says, Zack has never hinted of any idea not to play for his motherland.

“That decision is for Zack to make because he is a man but he has never said he wouldn’t play for Ghana.”
