Comoros head coach Stefano Cusin has heaped praise on Ghana’s Black Stars after their qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, describing the team as one with “wonderful players, history, and experience.”
Cusin’s comments came after his side fell 1–0 to Ghana in their final World Cup qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The result confirmed the Black Stars’ place at the global showpiece set to take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
A decisive second-half goal from Mohammed Kudus sealed Ghana’s fifth World Cup appearance.
“You [Ghana] have wonderful players, you have history, you have experience, and everything — so I am sure you are going to make a great World Cup,” Cusin said.
While Ghana celebrates yet another milestone in their football journey, Cusin and his Comoros team will now shift focus to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), where they are set to face Morocco, Zambia, and Mali in Group A
