New head coach of Nsoatreman FC, Yaw Preko has been tasked with leading the team to the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Preko took over from Maxwell Konadu, who left to join Black Leopards in South Africa after winning the 2023/24 MTN FA Cup title and qualifying the team for the continental competition.
During his unveiling, the former Great Olympics manager was charged with building on Konadu’s success and making a significant impact in the CAF Confederation Cup.
“Just like we agreed with Maxwell Konadu that in his first season, we are not expecting much from him but expected him to win the league in his second season, we are also not expecting that much from [Yaw Preko] in his first season.
“However, as for Africa, at least he should take us to the group stage and the rest in the course of the league season, we will review our positions.”
Nsoatreman will know their opponent’s in the CAF Confederation Cup competition when the draw comes off on Thursday at Cairo.
