The Atlas Lions, although losing to France (2-0) in the Qatar 2022 World Cup semifinals, kept their heads high, according to Moroccan national team goalkeeper Reda El-Tagnaouti.
El-Tagnaouti in an exclusive interview with Koora said: “We hoped that our journey would continue and that we would qualify for the final.” Unfortunately, we were unable to make the Moroccan public happy, even though we played a good game.”
The goalkeeper for the Lions emphasized that the Moroccan national team had a fantastic World Cup campaign.
He explained, “We have shown the world the value and status of Moroccan football. I am sure that everyone will talk about our achievement and what Moroccan football has presented during the World Cup.”
“There are many bets awaiting us, including preserving this brilliance and not retreating, then we also do not forget the date that awaits us next Saturday and the ranking match against Croatia, because we want to finish the competition in third place.”
