Jordan’s King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein congratulated the ruler of Morocco and his people on the success of the Atlas Lions squad in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
King Abdullah II took to his official Twitter page to tweet: “We are proud of what the brotherly Moroccan national team has achieved of an unprecedented global football achievement in the Arab world.”
He added, “Congratulations to my dear brother, King Mohammed VI, the brotherly Moroccan people, and the Atlas Lions, your ally for success and success in the coming days.”
The Moroccan national team made history by being the first Arab and African team to get past the quarterfinals of the World Cup.
And despite playing excellently in both halves of the match and having multiple daring opportunities that, if taken, could have resulted in victory, the Moroccan national team lost to France yesterday.
