Colombian singer Shakira praised Morocco on their historic progress to the 2022 World Cup semi-finals after beating Portugal with a single goal.
Shakira’s tweet received over 360,000 likes and was retweeted by over 81,000 people in a short period of time.
Shakira said on Twitter: “It’s time for Africa” (in relation to her song Waka Waka – This Time for Africa), and the tweet was attached to the Moroccan flag.
With this achievement, Morocco became the first Arab and African team to reach this role.
