Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has expressed his satisfaction with his side’s 3-2 victory against South Korea on Monday.
Ghana recorded her first win in the tournament against the Asians in Group H at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan after losing 3-2 to Portugal in the first group game.
A goal and a brace for Mohammed Salisu and Mohammed Kudus respectively aided Black Stars recovery from an opening day defeat to beat Korea Republic.
However after the game coach Otto Addo has expressed his satisfaction with the performance of his side.
“I am satisfied with the result of getting three points. In the beginning of the game, Korea put pressure on us, but we took the lead with a good free kick.” Otto Addo said at the post match conference
“The opponent changed tactics after the first half, but we struggled because we couldn’t block Korea’s cross. However, our spirit was strong, so we scored the third goal. I wish we had scored the fourth goal, but in the end we won. I did. I am satisfied.” Coach Otto Addo told the press.
Ghana face Uruguay in the last group game of the tournament on Friday afternoon with qualification at stake.
