Former President of the GFA Normalisation Committee, Dr Kofi Amoah has rallied support for the Black Stars ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar which starts today.
Ghana who are touched down in Qatar on Friday evening, are set to make a return to the global showpiece after missing the 2018 edition in Russia.
The Black Stars made their first appearance at the mundial in Germany in 2006 before playing at the 2010 and 2014 tournaments in South Africa and Brazil respectively.
The country’s best appearance came in 2010 when the Black Stars reached the quarter-finals where they were eliminated by Uruguay – a team they will face again in Qatar.
Portugal and South Korea are Ghana’s two other opponents in Group H.
The Black Stars will lock horns with Portugal in their opening Group game at – Stadium 974, Doha on November 24 before facing South Korea at Education City Stadium, Al Rayyan four days later.
The match that perhaps most Ghanaians are anticipating is the clash against Uruguay at Al Janoub Stadium, Al Wakrah on December 2.
