World Cup 2022: Eliminated African nations will perform better at next tournament – Kwesi Appiah

Former Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is certain African countries that got eliminated from the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar will bounce back strongly in the next edition.

Cameroon, Ghana, Morocco, Tunisia, and continental champions Senegal represented Africa at the global tournament.

But four out of the five teams exited from the tournament leaving Morocco who took the world by storm after they ousted Spain and Portugal to attain the feat.

The North African giants are the first African country to have qualified to the semi finals stage of the FIFA World.

Speaking in an interview with Koora, the former Black Stars coach who was on the touchline for Ghana in 2014 Brazil, believes the teams will come well prepared for next edition.

“African teams that have been exited from the tournament they will return quickly and better in the next edition of the World Cup. The African teams played well and with great ambition.” he stated.

Morocco will play the defending champions France on Wednesday in the second semi-finals fixture.
