Ghana head coach, Otto Addo has disclosed that he has no doubt Andre Ayew will be key for his squad in the final Group H match against Uruguay in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking in a pre-match press conference, the Germany-trained tactician said he will be relying on all his players to secure the needed result for the Black Stars to advance to the knockout stage of the tournament.
“Andre will be important for us just like everybody. It’s about a team. He lived it and experienced what happened in 2010. We know with team work and hard work we can achieve a lot in this World Cup,” Ghana coach Otto Addo said.
In a special message, the Ghana national team head coach expressed appreciation to fans for supporting the team at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
“We thank the fans and I know the boys are ready to express their appreciation on the pitch. We urge the supporters to be behind the team on Friday and hopefully in our subsequent matches,” Otto Addo indicated.
The game between Ghana and Uruguay is scheduled to kick off at 15:00GMT on Friday.
The Black Stars tomorrow need either a win or a draw to send Uruguay home packing.
Such a result will guarantee Ghana’s qualification to the Round 16 stage of the tournament.
