CAF Women’s Champion League: Comfort Yeboah admits surprise after MVP award

Midfielder of Ampem Darkoa, Comfort Yeboah has revealed she was surprised after wining Woman of the Match award in their Women’s CAF Champion League match against ASFAR Ladies.

The youngster inspired Ghanaian champions 2-1 win against AS FAR Rabat 2-1 at the Stade Laurent Pokou in Ivory Coast in the Group B opener.

AS FAR’s Najat Badri scored the opening goal before Yeboah scored a well-executed strike, leveling the score.

Her influence extended further when her cross into AS FAR’s box resulted in an own goal, giving Ampem Darkoa the lead.

Following her sterling performance she was named Woman of the Match after the clash .

Speaking to the clubs media Comfort said: I was surprised when I realized I was the MVP”.

“Although l know played my best but l was surprised after wining the award, ” she said.

Ampem Darkoa will face AS Mande of Mali in the next encounter in the ongoing Competition.
