Athletic Bilbao forward, Nico Williams has set sight on working hard in the next couple of weeks to ensure he merits a place in Spain’s final squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The youngster who is of Ghanaian descent is part of Spain’s 55-man provisional squad submitted to FIFA by head coach Luis Enrique ahead of the mundial.
According to Nico Williams, the goal is to be part of the squad of 26 players that will represent La Roja at the world cup in Qatar.
With this in mind, the talented attacker has set sight on putting in a lot of work for the national team coaches to notice him.
“I hope I can go to the World Cup, with work I think that in the end the results will be given.
“I don’t know if I’m going to go, but with work I think that in the end the results will come and hopefully I can go. I am going step by step,” Nico Williams shared in an interview.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup will start in Qatar on November 20.
