Ghanaian winger Eugene Ansah scored his first goal of the 2022-23 season in the Israeli Premier League when Hapoel Beer Sheva shocked Hapoel Tel Aviv at their home on Sunday.
Ansah netted the match winner as Beer Sheva staged a remarkable comeback to claim a 3-2 victory at the Bloomfield Stadium.
Former Israel U21 forward Qays Ghanem’s strike in the 23rd minute was the only goal at the end of the first half of the match.
Kosovo international Astrit Selmani drew Beer Sheva level in the 60th minute but the home side retook the lead a minute later through El Yam Kancepolsky.
The lead didn’t stand for long as the visitors drew level again in the 66th minute with goal from Magomed-Shapi Suleymanov.
Second half substitute Ansah scored the winning goal to seal the comeback for Beer Sheva eight minutes from full-time after being set up by Selmani.
Ansah has made three appearances of the new season and has managed to score once in the process.
