German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen have completed the signing of Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea on a season-long loan.
The forward completed his medicals on Tuesday and penned the deal, which does not have a buy option on the part of Leverkusen.
Since recovering from a debilitating Achilles injury last season, the 21-year-old has had difficulty in finding opportunities.
The arrival of English forward Raheem Sterling has compounded the situation which coerced Hudson-Odoi into leaving Stamford Bridge temporarily.
Hudson-Odoi enjoyed considerable success at youth level for England, being part of the squad which ended as runners-up in the UEFA European Under-17 Championship and which won the FIFA U-17 World Cup in the same year.
