Golden Kick FC head coach Fiifi Hanson Parker has acknowledged the stature of Asante Kotoko ahead of Sunday’s MTN FA Cup final, but insists the Porcupine Warriors won’t be the toughest side his team has faced in this year’s competition.
Speaking on Sporty FM in the build-up to the highly anticipated clash, the confident tactician said Golden Kick are well-prepared and undaunted by the occasion.
“Playing against Asante Kotoko in the MTN FA Cup final is not the biggest game we will play,” he said. “We’ve already faced Hearts of Oak.”
The “Live the Dream” side has had a remarkable journey in the 2024/25 FA Cup, eliminating top-flight sides Karela United and Hearts of Oak in a giant-killing run that has seen them dubbed the surprise package of the tournament.
Coach Parker praised Kotoko’s legacy in Ghanaian football but stressed that his team is not fazed by reputations.
“We respect Kotoko for who they are, but we’ve been here before. We’re ready, and we’re not scared of anything,” he said.
