West Ham United have opened talks with departing Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard.
The midfielder will be leaving United this month as a free agent and Sky Sports reports that the David Moyes side has made an offer to sign the player.
The 29-year-old midfielder is out of contract at Old Trafford next Thursday and the Irons have offered him a contract following his sensational half-season loan spell with the club in 2020-21.

Lingard was outstanding for the Irons during a six-month spell in London and there were reports that the Hammers would sign him last summer but a deal couldn’t materialize due to his wage demands.
Its not clear whether he will be reducing his demands but the player wants to be active again as he aims to be part of Garet Southgate’s squad for the World Cup in the summer.
