Medeama SC goalkeeper Felix Kyei has thrown down the gauntlet ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, boldly declaring his side’s intention to reclaim the title.
Speaking on Medeamaa FM during a season review, the 22-year-old shot-stopper reflected on the team’s mixed campaign, which ended with an eighth-place finish and 50 points.
“We’re winning the league next season ; no doubt,” Kyei said. “We had our struggles, especially with goals in the first half of the season, but once we picked up form, the goals came. That’s what it takes to be champions.”
Kyei made 16 appearances in the league, keeping five clean sheets and conceding 19 goals — a steady presence between the posts in what was often a turbulent season for the Yellow and Mauve.
Now, with a renewed sense of focus and a likely reshuffle in attack, Medeama are preparing to mount a serious title challenge.
Having lifted their first Premier League trophy just two seasons ago, the club will be aiming to return to the summit of Ghanaian football.
Kyei’s confident outlook reflects a rising sense of ambition within the camp — and with pre-season preparations on the horizon, the countdown to a potential Medeama resurgence is on.
