‘We’ll make our mark here’ — Frimpong Manso begins Nations FC rebuild

Newly appointed Nations FC head coach Stephen Frimpong Manso says he is confident of reviving the team’s fortunes as he begins his tenure with the struggling Ghana Premier League side.

The experienced tactician, who led Bibiani GoldStars to last season’s league title, was handed a two-year contract after the dismissal of Kassim Ocansey Mingle. Nations have endured a difficult start to the 2025/26 campaign, recording just two wins in seven matches.

Speaking in his first interview with the club’s media, Frimpong Manso expressed optimism about improving the team’s performance and addressing key weaknesses.

“We’ve seen a lot of things here and we believe we can work to improve the team,” he said. “We’ve come to do our part to make sure that where the team has reached, we will also try to make a mark here at Nations. In away matches, we’ve played three games without a goal, so that’s one of the concerns we need to fix.”

Manso’s first assignment will be a tough test as Nations FC travel to Bechem United on Friday, October 31, seeking their first away win of the season.
