Novi Pazar defender Ebenezer Annan has described wearing the Black Stars jersey to make his Ghana debut as one of the most exciting moments in his career.
The 21-year-old, currently on loan at the Serb top-flight club from Serie A’s Bologna, was a late inclusion in Otto Addo’s squad for the two friendly matches against Uganda and Nigeria.
Annan made a second-half appearance in the 2-1 loss to Nigeria and was subsequently given a starting position in the 2-2 draw against Nigeria.
Assessing his performance in the two games, he said head coach Otto Addo shared some good feedback with him after the games.
“I played as a left wing-back against Nigeria. I pushed forward when we had possession and ran back when we lost the ball. I believe I did my best.
“The coach had some encouraging words for me after the game. Putting on the national jersey is one of the exciting moments in my career.”
