Wealdstone’s Ghanaian forward Manny Duku set to wear jersey number 9

Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Manny Duku will wear jersey number 9 at Wealdstone.

The forward joined the National League side ahead of their highly anticipated FA Trophy Quarter-Final against Solihull Moors.

Born in Amsterdam, Duku began his career in the Dutch non-league circuit before making a significant move to England in 2015. His journey in English football has seen him play for numerous non-league clubs, but it was his prolific spell at Hayes & Yeading United that truly caught the attention of many. Scoring an impressive 39 goals in just 50 games, Duku earned himself a well-deserved move to the English Football League (EFL) with Cheltenham Town.

Duku’s career continued to flourish with moves to Torquay United and then north of the border to Scotland, where he played for Raith Rovers and Inverness Caledonian Thistle. His return to England saw him join Havant & Waterlooville, and most recently, he spent the entirety of last season at York.

Standing tall at 6 foot 2 inches, Duku is known for his physicality, power, and pace. His commanding presence on the pitch and his ability to find the back of the net make him a formidable addition to the Wealdstone squad.
