We will work hard to make Hearts of Oak supporters smile after Samartex defeat – Salifu Ibrahim

Hearts of Oak midfielder, Salifu Ibrahim has promised the players will work hard to ensure fans of the club smile after standing with them in their defeat to FC Samartex.

The Phobians suffered a 2-1 loss on Sunday against the Ghana Premier League leaders at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex.

The defeat was Hearts of Oak’s first in six games under their new Ivorian head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara who had previously won three games and drew another two.

Speaking after the Samartex loss, Salifu was straightforward in his message to the club’s fans, expressing hope things will change soon.

“We will work extra to make our supporters smile. The result did not go as planned against Samartex but again we saw our fans showing us love. We will work hard to show them love,” he said, as quoted by the club.

Hearts of Oak will next take on Bibiani GoldStars at home in match week 24 of the Ghana Premier League as they look to move up from their eighth position.
