Ghana’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Kofi Adams, has reaffirmed the Black Stars’ ambition to be more than just participants at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, expressing confidence in the team’s ability to make a real statement on the global stage.
“I think this time around also, we will not just go to the World Cup to just add to the numbers,” Adams stated. “We want to go there and let people feel our presence just the same way they did in South Africa in 2010. We want the world to feel our presence.”
Ghana’s dominant second-half display against CAR, which saw four goals scored after the break, has boosted optimism among fans and stakeholders that the Black Stars are on the path to reclaiming their status as one of Africa’s football powerhouses.
