We wanted to pick our first GPL win against Nsoatreman FC – Heart of Lions coach Fatawu Salifu

Heart of Lions tactician Fatawu Salifu says his outfit wanted to secure their first Ghana Premier League win against Nsoatreman FC last Sunday.

In a hard-fought encounter, the Premier League returnees secured a goalless draw against Nsoatreman FC at the Nana Koramansah Park on Sunday.

Lions, who made a return to the Ghanaian top-flight are yet to pick a win after 12 games into the season so far. They have managed eight draws and four defeat.

Speaking after the game, Fatawu Salifu disclosed wanted to beat Nsoatreman FC to secure their first of the campaign.

“We went into the game to win and not to draw against them. We are still pursuing to pick our first win in the Ghana Premier League. We wanted to pick our first win in the league against Nsoatreman but it didn’t happen”

“As a coach, when you read a game to certain level, the best you can do is at least pick a point. To win at certain venues is tough and so, getting a point at Nsoatre tells you our game plan worked” he said.

Heart of Lions are currently bottom on the Ghana Premier League table with 8 points.
