The manager of Rotherham United FC, Matt Taylor has opened up on why the club has signed Ghana international Tariqe Fosu-Henry.
According to him, the EFL side has secured the services of the versatile player because the team needs to bolster its attack for the ongoing 2022/23 football season.
“I see him as an attacking player. I know that he’s covered full-back and wing-back, but I see him as an attacking player. We have to be realistic about where we are at the moment and we need attacking players.
“He’s a player with certain qualities at the level,” Matt Taylor said.
The Rotherham United FC manager added, “He can cover a number of positions and for whatever reason became available for a further loan. He obviously spent the first half of the season with Stoke, where I think he started 12 games and was on the pitch 16 times, so he’s not been short of game time at Championship level.
“He can play off both sides – he can play off the left but he’s right-footed – and he can play centrally as well.
“He’s a player that we feel fits the bill in terms of giving us an extra bit in our armoury in an attacking sense.”
At Rotherham United FC, Tariqe Fosu will wear the Number 7 jersey. He is keen on impressing to help the club to achieve their targets for the season.
