Hearts of Oak trainer Slavko Matic has charged his players to work hard following their victory against Gold Stars in a Ghana premier league week four on Saturday.
The Phobians recorded a 2-1 win over Bibiani Gold Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, October 29, 2022.
Hearts of Oak recorded a first win for the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League over Michael Osei’s side in Accra, coming as Matic’s first game on the domestic scene.
Gladson Awako’s well taken free kick in the 87th minute ended a run of three games without a win in the premier league season for the Rainbow Club with the result moving them up to 9th on the standings, depending on other results by close of match week 4.
Speaking to the media after the game the experienced trainer opined that.
“They feel the pressure of course and when you receive this cheap goal, things start to be more difficult.
“But after the goal we immediately changed formation from 4-4-2 to 3-5-2, the most important thing is the win for my players.
“They had a big wish to win, I think the way we want to play is good, we must continue to work harder.
“Because every game for us will be like this one for us.” Slavko Matic to the media.
