Ghana coach Otto Addo says his side must step up in their next encounter after the defeat to Angola in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Black Stars began their African Cup of Nations qualification campaign on a disappointing note with a 1-0 loss to Angola courtesy Milson late strike.
The outcome was Ghana’s first loss in Kumasi since 2000.
“I don’t want to put this loss on the pitch even though it wasn’t good. Against Central African Republic, it was also not good but we won. We have to do better,”
“The second half makes me very confident we can qualify. The good thing is that it’s all in our hands because we still have to face all the teams in the group.” he stated.
Ghana has a chance to redeem itself in their next match against Niger on Monday, September 9.
