French side RC Strasbourg have denied receiving any official bid for star defender Alexander Djiku.
Struggling Spanish La Liga outfit Sevilla FC was reported to have offered around two to three million euros in order to acquire the services of the Ghanaian international.
“Officially, we have not received an offer,” RC Strasbourg Sports Performance Coordinator Abdou Kader Mangane told Journal L’Alsace on Thursday.
Djiku’s contract is set to expire in June of this year.
This is not the first time the 28-year-old has been linked with Sevilla. Last summer, the club reportedly had a six million euros offer for the centre-back rejected by Strasbourg.
Both clubs are battling relegation in their respective domestic competitions. While Strasbourg are now 16th in the Ligue 1 standings, Sevilla sit 19th on the LaLiga log.
