Head Coach of Black Stars Chris Hughton has acknowledged respect for Comoros ahead of 2026 World Cup Qualifier on Tuesday

The four times African Champions will crossed sword with Comoros in the qualifying campaign at the Moroni Stadium

Ghana started the campaign on a good note, winning 1-0 Madagascar while Comoros also secured a 4-2 win over Central African Republic in their opener.

Ahead of the game, Hughton spoke of respect for the opponent who knocked Ghana out of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

“We have big respect for Comoros, they are a good team, but the results in the past have no significance.

“I think as a football nation, they have come a long way, they have made very big steps and i congratulate them on that.”

The Black Stars of Ghana can go top of Group I with a win today in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
