Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew is confident about Ghana’s chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
After securing crucial wins against Chad and Madagascar in March, Ayew believes the team is in a strong position to make it to the tournament.
“I think we have a very good chance of making it to the 2026 FIFA World Cup,” Ayew said after Ghana completed the 2025 Unity Cup.
The team’s hard-fought victories have given them a solid foundation, sitting atop group I.
Ayew’s optimism reflects the team’s growing momentum and determination after Ghana initially struggled for wins in a turbulent 2024.
Ayew was influential in Ghana’s wins in March, contributing massively to goals for the Black Stars.
Ghana will be looking to qualify for a fifth ever World Cup after participating in four editions (2006, 2010, 2014, 2022).
