The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah has disclosed that the club had confidence in Cameroonian strikers Franck Mbella Etouga and Georges Mfegue before the start of the 2021/22 football season.

The Ghanaian giants before the start of the season announced the signing of the talented forwards to bolster the squad of the first team.

At the end of the league season, Franck Mbella and Georges Mfegue have been able to help Asante Kotoko to win the Ghana Premier League title.

“We knew what we could get from Mbella and Mfegue ahead of the season. We had graphics of them and we knew they could play a key role for us,” the Kotoko CEO told Asempa FM on Friday.

Speaking on the ambition of the club ahead of the Africa campaign, Nana Yaw Amponsah said the team will try to make an impact in the quest to win the champions league title.
