We did not need anything special to beat Hearts of Oak – RTU boss Baba Nuhu

Real Tamale United coach, Baba Nuhu says his side did not need anything extraordinary to beat Hearts of Oak.

The Tamale-based side secured an impressive 1-0 win over the Phobians in the matchday 16 games on Sunday at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.

Ex-Hearts of Oak midfielder Umar Manaf scored a stunner as the home side secured all three points.

In a post-match interview, coach Nuhu stated that his strategy was no different from what RTU employ against any other opponent.

“I will say yes [it was an ordinary game] because it all boils down to what I do on the training grounds.

“Before a match against Hearts, I don’t do any special training.

“Hearts is a big team but as a coach, I approach every game as equally as any other team that I will play with so it was normal for me,” he said.

The coach also expressed confidence in the team, stating that they have finally recovered and are unfazed by any opponent.

“We have a programme that we follow and I’ve been telling people that, even though we started late, they should wait, when we pick up, every team will definitely be beatable.

“And this is why we are now on top and we now don’t care about whoever we are facing,” he added.

Following their win over Hearts of Oak, RTU are now sixth on the log, just one point ahead of fifth-placed Hearts of Oak.

Real Tamale United will be hosted by King Faisal in the matchday 17 games at the Baba Yara Stadium.
