Ghanaian attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus has apologized to Ghanaians following the Black Star’s disappointing performance at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.
Ghana exited the tournament with two points having drawn 2-2 against Egypt and Mozambique after losing 1-2 to Cape Verde in the opening game in Group B.
He took to his Facebook page to express his sincere apology and was thankful to Ghanaians for their unwavering support.
“To the heart & soul of 🇬🇭 Ghana. Falling short at my debut #AFCON23 is a hard reality we face together but as a playing body we take full responsibility. We deeply regret not meeting your hopes this time. Your enduring support is our motivation to strive in commitment in making you proud in the future

Kudus bagged two goals in two appearances at the tournament.
The elimination from the competition was Ghana’s second in back to back tournaments.
